Children's memories - part two

When I was a little girl I dreamed
About being a princess,
About being a model,
About being pretty,
About having the biggest Barbie House in the world,
About having a candy store for myself,
About beautiful skies,
About catching the stars,
About being free,
About dancing.

Now I'm grown up.
I have very few dreams, very different from the ones I had.
I've found many things out:
Princesses only exist in fairy tales,
My parents hate the idea of me modeling,
I will never be satisfied with the way I look 'cause humans never will be,
Barbie Houses are pretty expensive and I don't like Barbies anymore,
Candy will make me fat,
Skies aren't always beautiful,
It is impossible to catch a star,
Freedom is a very difficult thing to have and to define,
I can't dance anymore because my knees hurt.
